Lord graduated with merit from the newspaper journalism postgraduate diploma at UCLAN. He will join the Mail's production hub, which also serves sister titles the Grimbsy Telegraph, Scunthorpe Telegraph and Lincolnshire Echo.
"During my time at UCLAN I developed a passion for production and subbing and at a time when some newspaper groups are sacking sub-editors I'm pleased to have the opportunity to get into that area of journalism," says Lord in a release from UCLAN.
Prior to his postgraduate course Lord studied French and Spanish at the University of Leeds.
