Ms Smith, commenting on Ms Gogerty's appointment, said: "Clare's instinctive understanding of the Coast ethos will endear her to both staff and readers. Her experience in lifestyle magazines and of working with small teams on new launches will prove invaluable as we grow Coast for the future.
"It could have been a tough job to hand over the day-to-day running of this exceptional magazine but Clare's combination of experience and passion will make it a pleasure."
