Rich Sutcliffe is the new editor of Brand Republic, Haymarket's site covering marketing, media and advertising and will start his new role on September 1.

Sutcliffe joins from another Haymarket title, Media Week, where he was digital editor.

He will be the second person to have ever edited the site, succeeding Gordon Macmillian who is taking up a new role at Haymarket Brand Media as social media & international editor.

Over the past ten years Sutcliffe has had senior roles at Highbury House and Swinstead Publishing and joined Media Week at the beginning of last year.

"To be offered the chance to lead Brand Republic, where we are able to bring together the expertise of award-winning journalists, columnists and editors from across the group, is a great opportunity," Sutcliffe said, in a release from the company.
