The new title, the first issue of which is scheduled to be distributed at the end of next month, is published by Designs On Ltd. The publisher already has a number of successful titles established within the Oxfordshire area, such as In Oxford and the Oxford Restaurant Guide.
Mr Howson-Green, commenting on his appointment said: "This venture with In-Oxford to publish a new type of business magazine is very exciting. It will do what it says on the cover and build bridges between businesses.
"It will also have a heavy emphasis on the use of online technology. This is vital to keep the content of a quarterly magazine alive throughout the year."
Mr Howson-Green studied at the London College of Printing and took his first job on the London Newspaper Group.
He has more than eight years' experience working across various national newspaper titles, such as the Sunday Mirror, Daily Mirror and the Times.
He also spent 12 years at News Corporation working on various expansion projects and in 2000 left to join the dot.com boom as a founder of an online recruitment company.
His advice to budding editors is to have a vision to ensure the magazine looks the way you want it to.
"Make sure you give it a clear voice and make sure all your team share that vision. The rest is hard work and team effort."
