Ian Chadband has been appointed as the chief sports correspondent after leaving the same position at the Evening Standard. Jason Burt is the new the deputy football correspondent and joins from the Independent where he worked for over 10 years. Both will write across the three titles: Daily Telegraph, the Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk.
Gavin Mairs has also been appointed as the rugby news correspondent for the Telegraph Media Group and joins the team from the Belfast Telegraph where he held the same position. Prior to that he worked at the Yorkshire Post.
"I am delighted to be making these appointments. They are all excellent journalists and will enhance the Telegraph’s sports pages as we continue to deliver first rate coverage," the Daily Telegraph sports editor, David Bond, in a release.
