The Daily Telegraph has appointed Andrew Porter as its new political editor.Mr Porter will replace the current political editor, George Jones, who will be standing down in autumn 2007.
Mr Porter currently works at The Sun as deputy political editor. Prior to this, he worked as deputy political editor for the Sunday Times.
