How do you make a spread of white dresses arresting?
How do you tell the story of a beautiful real life wedding in two pages?
What fashion features will make readers stop in their tracks?
And how can you make the smallest reception detail sing off the page?
These are the kinds of questions you will have to answer on a daily basis to not just keep us at No.1 but power us even further ahead of the competition.
You must be passionate about design and photography and have wider design/visual interests that you can put to excellent use.
Confidence, speed, clarity and a keen eye for trends (within and beyond the bridal market) are all essential, as is a love of typography and a contacts book full of photographers/illustrators/stylists that you know can make Brides even better.
You must be confident at commissioning these contributors, directing a shoot and managing a brief from concept to page.
Technically you will need an in depth knowledge of repro for print and digital platforms plus InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Working closely with the Art Director you will be highly organised and equally happy working as part of a team and on your own initiative. You will have substantial relevant experience on a major women's consumer title.
