Briefing Media Ltd is looking to recruit a talented and motivated assistant clinical editor to work on Pulse, its flagship online and print brand for UK GPs. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning editorial team in one of the newest and most innovative media companies in the country.

The assistant clinical editor will play a key role in developing Pulse as a provider of high-quality clinical education content for GPs across our two websites: Pulse Today (www.pulsetoday.co.uk) and our clinical education site Pulse Learning (www.pulse-learning.co.uk).

The successful candidate will be a bioscience graduate. A postgraduate qualification in journalism or communications - or some experience of medical publishing - would be a big advantage.

Our ideal candidate will have some experience of producing clinical content for healthcare professionals and is now looking for their next step up.

However, we would also consider appointing an exceptional candidate who is looking for their first role in medical publishing but you will need to be able to show us you have the ability to take complex medical content and develop it into accurate, user-friendly material for an audience of busy GPs.

You will be full of ideas and have a broad range of technical skills (ideally including HTML, web content management systems and producing email newsletters) or the aptitude and enthusiasm to learn. Experience of shooting and editing video would be a distinct advantage.

You will be developing clinical content across two platforms so you need to show us that you are highly organised and able to juggle multiple tasks to tight deadlines.

A competitive salary awaits the successful candidate, who will be based at our central London offices near St Paul’s.

Applicants for the deputy clinical editor post – advertised earlier this year – need not apply.
