We are looking for an Assistant Editor to join the team. You will be responsible for the ongoing upkeep of the ESPN.co.uk site, working under the Senior Editor, as well as taking responsibility for specialist areas of editorial coverage and site management as specified by the Senior Editor.

You will be responsible for the daily operation of the ESPN.co.uk site, including writing, sourcing material, uploading of content from other EMEA sites and third parties, photo management and maintenance of blogs, fantasy, social media and ancillary products. You will cover live events and be able to travel to assignments and maintain a detailed knowledge of the world of sport as well as having a good grasp of current affairs.

You will join us with excellent knowledge of domestic and international sport, a journalistic qualification or one years experience working on a news desk, preferable internet based and the ability to write accurately and coherently under pressure. It is essential that you have the ability to discuss and write about sport!
