Gas Strategies is a leading City-based professional services provider to the global gas and LNG industry.

We are currently seeking an experienced energy/commodities news journalist for the deputy editor position at our daily news title – Gas Matters Today.

Key skills required:

  • A keen insight and understanding of the global gas and LNG industry and the trends that influence its markets

  • A curiosity about industry drivers and the ability to translate those into in-depth analysis of key issues

  • An ability to produce relevant, thought provoking editorial output against often challenging and contradictory views

  • Technical writing skills in order to produce relevant, market driven articles, papers and thought leadership pieces

  • A collaborative and inclusive approach to developing output which harnesses the strength and experience of the Gas Strategies Group

  • Authoritative mindset and attitude to further strengthen the credibility of the Gas Strategies brand

  • Capable and competent user of CMS, DTP and AV software

  • Proven news writing, sub-editing, and commissioning experience (three to five years)

In addition the deputy editor will:

  • Contribute to the Information Services editorial output and assist on extending its scope to develop high quality content

  • Assist with the commissioning of insightful content which represents the capabilities of Gas Strategies while increasing the knowledge base within the company

  • Deliver analysis and written content that provides challenges, insight and critical industry assessments
