Editor

We are recruiting an Editor for Process Engineering, the UK’s leading publication for engineers working in the process sectors. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of Process Engineering’s print and digital products, covering issues as diverse as energy, plant security and automation.

Main responsibilities:

• Write and edit news and features for the print magazine and supplements
• Deliver daily online/email news and editorial leaders
• Build relationships with key contacts within the industry
• Generate original ideas to drive forward the editorial agenda
• Manage and edit freelance and guest contributions on time and to budget
• Represent the magazine at major industry events

Key skills:

• Experience of editing and managing a technical publication
• Experience of using content management systems 
• Ability to meet multiple and often conflicting deadlines
• Self-motivated and full of ideas for reader engagement
• A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with the process engineering markets is desirable but not essential
