You will be responsible for a number of tutorial features in the magazine including written copy, video, illustrative screenshots and imagery. Working closely with the Editor you will conceive ideas for tutorials and write them and also commission such work to freelance writers. In addition, you will be responsible for liaising with name artists and music software companies to procure great software giveaways and custom sample packs.
With a proven technical writing ability you will have a broad knowledge of contemporary music production techniques and common music software. You will have had your work published and will preferably have experience of magazine and online journalism and commissioning. With excellent time management skills you will be super organised with the ability to work to and manage freelance deadlines.

- Three tutorial feature ideas, including a headline, strapline and brief synopsis of the feature content.
- A short written tutorial (one page) based on one of your feature ideas. This should be in the following format: 350 words of introductory copy. Six steps of walkthrough content, each with 50-60 words of copy and an accompanying screenshot (JPEG). You can use any music software you like. You may also include audio examples.
- Any examples of previous work would be welcome.
