The job will require a tireless and enthusiastic newshound keen on breaking scoops online and in print. Writing for Mobile will require quickly getting to grips with a varied, fast paced and wide-ranging industry, spanning retail, technology, mergers and acquisitions and public policy. You will also be required to write features and analysis, attend industry events, and occasionally represent the magazine in the media.
Candidates must demonstrate:
- speedy and accurate news writing skills
- the ability to present complicated information in an easy to understand and readable way
- sharp interviewing techniques
- creativity and inventiveness in presenting news online and in print
- strong social networking skills and show how Mobile's presence can be further strengthened online
- being able to cope with a varied workload across several sets of deadlines
- a desire to make your mark in a competitive area of journalism
This is an entry level position which would suit a recent graduate. A journalism qualification would be useful but we will accept applications from all backgrounds.
