MEN Media, the Guardian Media Group-owned publisher of the Manchester Evening News, has given control of its digital advertising to its in-house sales team.

Staff have been trained to handle digital ad sales as part of the move, a press release from the publisher said.

Clients will now be able to approach MEN directly when looking to advertise on its online network of sites, which includes The Jobs Mine and City Life.

"Combined with recent investments in behavioural targeting (via Revenue Science) and analytics (via Omniture) this will mean that we will be able to be far more creative in the packages that we offer to clients and agencies alike," said Danny Dale, provincial agency manager for MEN, in the release.

The group's digital advertising was previously handled by AdLink.
