So I could earn more money, have more fun and play more golf.

Studied at the London College of Printing and then qualified as a senior on local newspapers in Essex
Do you specialise in any particular field and what areas do you write about?
Mainly finance and business writing, which involves interviewing industry leaders about their work, profession or firm. In the main, I focus on the person as an individual (their hobbies, dreams, aspirations, passions, goals, successes etc. That usually ticks all the boxes.

The New Economy, World Finance, Sunday Telegraph, etc.
Which articles, in which publication, are you the most proud of?
A story for a local newspaper about a school in special measures for five years. It was a few weeks away from closure. I spent two days inside the school talking to the kids and teachers. The story focused on how Ofsted's measures of success didn't work so well in one of the UK's most deprived neighbourhoods. Four weeks after publication a decision the local authority decided not to close the school. Three months later Ofsted removed the school from special measures. The article won the Newspaper Society award for Best Campaign.
