A Graduate School of Journalism - the UK's first - is expected to officially launch later in 2009 with 264 members, making it one of the world's biggest schools.
The facilities, developed in consultation with 'experts' from ITN and BBC include a TV and video programming studio, two radio studios, two broadcast newsrooms, two print newsrooms, two TV broadcast newsrooms and two open-access Mac rooms.
Facilities will allow students to develop better multimedia skills, with the TV and video studio enabling 'simultaneous multi-media broadcast for the first time', according to the university's website.
