Clive Milner
News International has announced that Clive Milner, chief operating officer at News International, is leaving the company.

Milner was promoted to the role of COO in 2008, having previously worked as News International group general manager. He has worked for the publisher for more than 30 years, News International says in a release.

During his time at News International, Milner was involved in the development of the publisher's printing plant at Broxbourne, launched in 2008.

Milner's reason for leaving News International is not clear at this stage, nor what his next move will be and the publisher has given no additional information about his future plans.

"Clive has been my colleague at News International for 30 years and in that time I have had great regard for the skill with which he helped create the successful company we see today. Clive is a professional newspaperman of the highest calibre who has served both his company and the whole industry in the UK with distinction. We all wish him well in the future," says Rupert Murdoch, chairman and chief executive of News Corporation, in the release.
