UK newspapers are beginning to exploit the popularity of music downloads, reports New Media Age, with several major titles planning deals.

The Sun, Mirror, Times and Daily Mail are all reported to be negotiating deals with music suppliers which are likely to replace popular CD giveaways.

Guardian Unlimited has already teamed up with record company EMI to offer a download service to coincide with next weekend's Glastonbury Festival. The site will offer tracks for 99p each, featuring Glastonbury performers over the years including David Bowie and The Bees.
