We've made navigation easier by organising the site into content channels covering recruitment, freelancing, training, events and awards.
News coverage will be complemented with blog-style comment pieces and links to news on other sites, flagged up with a 'viewpoint' icon. Reviews will also be published alongside our news coverage.
"We wanted to introduce the best of blog commentary without getting away from a solid and trusted news base," said journalism.co.uk publisher John Thompson.
"This will allow us to react quicker to breaking news and to comment on subjects where either the news has already been covered extensively elsewhere or is not strictly part of our remit. It will also enable us to invite key commentators from the online journalism industry to contribute.
"In terms of the design, we have strived to make the site more accessible, with easily resizable text based on relative rather than absolute font sizes, and all functions easier to find and use by our advertisers and readers."
We've stuck with our distinctive green branding to keep continuity between the old and new designs, but look how we've grown since we launched in January 1999...
