On the eve of the US Presidential election, the Poynter Institute has published a handy round-up of sites to help journalists cover election night.

Recommended sites cover key voting times and dates, historical data, types of voting systems and organisations that will report voting problems.

The Poynter site provides extensive resources for professional journalists, and has also published a guide to covering elections in the key state of Florida.
