The London Freelance branch of the NUJ has launched a new online discussion forum dedicated to fees and charging guidelines for freelancers.

Discussion and feedback will be used to update and expand the current fees guide.

The guide includes advice on tax, contracts and negotiating fees as well as copyright issues for work reproduced online or in digital archives.

The fees guide was first introduced in 1973 and now includes typical rates of pay for major newspapers, magazines, broadcasters and websites across the UK.

The discussion forum is at www.feesguide.org.
