Factiva, the information content provider owned by Dow Jones and Reuters has unveiled a free RSS feed to keep pace with US presidential campaign.

Reports will be aimed at the US government sector with continuously updated coverage of the race for the Whitehouse.

"Based on the success of our Republican and Democratic daily convention briefs from last summer, customers have asked that we continue to report and distribute coverage of this important topic," said Tony Hall, director of Government Solutions at Factiva.

"The use of RSS enables our customers to quickly and easily incorporate a Web feed into their existing RSS readership."

RSS, or Rich Site Summary, is a method of feeding content from a website and can be used in a number of ways. Users can sign up to RSS feeds through their mobile phones, PDAs or through a desktop news programme that can manage a group of RSS feeds from different sources.
