Google is to incorporate graphical banner adverts in its AdSense advertisements in a new trial, according to a report on marketing news site ClickZ.com.

Advertisers will enter keywords from the banner when signing up for the advert, and can choose from four sizes of image.

Google's AdSense service posts content-related adverts to a site, which means that advertisers can promote products and services to a targeted audience. The CPC - cost per click - is determined by the demand for a particular keyword.

Until now, Google's AdSense service had been available only as text adverts.
