Hearst Digital has secured a company-wide deal with Brightcove and MyMovies.Net to rollout video across all of its websites.

The NatMag's division will now feature video content across its leading sites, including handbag.com, getlippy.com and cosmopolitan.co.uk, and will feature advertising.

The move is part of a bid to increase the audio and visual content on the sites, which will now show content from MyMovies.Net, including footage from film shoots and premieres.

Brightcove's video technology, which is already used by the Guardian, Telegraph, Sky and EMAP, will be used to host the content.

“We see video as a key trend in developing a rich and engaging experience for our target audiences," said Alex Ballantyne, Hearst Digital’s managing director, in a statement to the press.

Hearst - NatMag's US parent company - owns a share of Brightcove and spoke of plans to utilise this link last October.

The publisher has also announced a content partnership with video search engine Blinkx, which will now index content from handbag.com.
