Topics to be covered at the event include communities, social media, mobile publishing, live stream news style, verification and making money

The first collection of speakers have been announced for Journalism.co.uk's next event news:rewired - full stream ahead, including digital journalism experts from the Guardian, the Economist, the Telegraph and ITV News.

The one-day digital journalism conference will take place on Friday, 13 July 2012 at MSN UK's headquarters in London Victoria.

A series of sessions and workshops at the event will focus on the latest tools, techniques and tips for producing the best journalism online and how to make it earn its keep.

Topics due to be covered at Journalism.co.uk's seventh digital journalism conference include: working productively with engaged communities; how to exploit publishing on portable platforms; the array of social media platforms at a journalist’s disposal; recommended verification and correction processes; the latest approaches to making money from news online; and the ‘live stream’ approach to digital news reporting.

Workshops will also be held with delegates on practical skills, such as using online mapping tools and how to scrape data from websites.

Speakers already confirmed include Joanna Geary who joined the Guardian as digital development editor late last year to develop the team's digital skills as it adopted its digital-first strategy.

Conference delegates will also have the chance to hear from Mark Johnson, community editor at the Economist, Conrad Quilty-Harper, interactive news editor of the Telegraph and Luke Lewis, editor of NME.com.

Other speakers include Jason Mills, editor of web development at ITV News, journalism academic and online publisher Paul Bradshaw and Craig Silverman, founder of the Regret the Error blog in the US, now published by Poynter.
