Local newspaper trade site HoldtheFrontPage.co.uk has apologised to a Yorkshire editor after stating he was an employee of the British National Party.

The 'Who's who' section on the site incorrectly listed Danny Lockwood, editor of the Dewsbury and District Press, as BNP press officer from 1993 onwards.

Mr Lockwood informed the site that he had never been a supporter, member or press officer for the BNP and does not hold racist political views. He has been paid an undisclosed sum for the embarrassment caused as well as his legal expenses.
