MPs lobby for Indymedia

Labour MPs have formally requested answers from the Home Secretary about the recent seizure of web servers from independent news site Indymedia.

Jeremy Corbyn, MP for Islington North, and David Taylor, MP for North West Leicestershire, put forward an early day motion on 15 October expressing deep concern that the independent media organisation was obstructed.

The motion referred to the seizure as 'an attack on the freedom of speech via the internet'.
