The potential of the RSS newsfeed tool will be addressed at a forum organised by the UK's Association of Online Publishers (AOP).

The session will be led by Mike Butcher, editor of digital business group NetImperative and will explore how RSS works, how to create revenue from it and what kind of problems it can create.

Angus Bankes, founder of real-time information service Moreover Technologies, will also be speaking at the afternoon forum on 10 December.

RSS, or Rich Site Summary, is a simplified string of content from a site which can be fed into other platforms including mobile phones and other websites. Feeds typically include a headline, standfirst and link back to the full story on the original site.
