Former Mirror editor Piers Morgan is the new owner of trade title Press Gazette.

Mr Morgan teamed up with Rupert Murdoch's son-in-law Matthew Freud to raise £1 million for the title.

The magazine is expected to move away from coverage of the regional press to the nationals, though the current editorial team will remain. Staff may be relocated from Croydon to new offices in Fleet Street.
