News execs to tap into latest web trends

Delegates at the 2005 Beyond the Printed Word conference will be examining the most successful new strategies for building web audiences, including introducing blogs, podcasts and mobile content services.

Using case studies, industry experts will show how to adapt advertising strategies to challenge increasingly aggressive competition from Google Local and Craigslist.

Organised by Ifra, the World Association of Newspapers and the International Federation of the Periodical Press, this year's conference will be held in Madrid from 10 to 11 November.

Delegates registering before 30 September will pay a reduced rate of 1350 Euros, or 850 Euros for WAN members.
