Bill Grueskin will deliver the keynote speech at this year's Association of Online Publishers conference, due to be held at London's Hilton Park Lane hotel on 7 October.

Mr Grueskin, managing editor of the Wall Street Journal Online, will be speaking on the biggest issues faced by web publishers with a focus on paid-for content models. WSJ has been particularly successful in generating revenue from paid subscriptions.

Sessions include how to exploit targeted content and advertising, and how publishers can meet the challenges of blogs, RSS and user-generated content.

Ashley Highfield, BBC director of new media and technology, will speak about trends in media delivery and how publishers can keep up with new formats.

Additional speakers include Channel 4 new media managing director Andrew Taylor, Media Week editor Philip Smith and Nikesh Arora, vice president of European operations for Google.

Rates for the conference range from £148 to £221 per person, with discounts for AOP and PPAi members. Prices rise after 9 September.

AOP recently announced it is to draw up guidelines to deal with advertising agencies that deliver copy late. Member companies, including Emap, News International, BSkyB and GCap Media, are likely to penalise agencies by reducing the inventory for each advertising campaign.
