Economist branches into audioEconomist.com has introduced a host of podcasts as part of its 'World in 2006' publication which predicts trends for the coming year.

Fifteen audio files are available on the site for free until February.

Discussions include video-gaming with Economist technology editor Tom Standage, the legacy of Junichiro Koizumi with editor Bill Emmott and America under George Bush with Washington correspondent Robert Guest.

Files run between six and 12 minutes and are in MP3 format.
