BBC editors to tell all on new blog
The blog will build on the popularity of Pete Clifton's weekly 'From the editor's desktop' column in which the then editor of BBC News Interactive wrote about the newsroom background to leading stories.
A two to three month internal trial will follow shortly and the full version is expected to be rolled out in the Summer.
The editors' blog will help the BBC to fulfil its obligation to be more open and accountable to its audience, said Mr Clifton, now head of BBC News Interactive.
"This is a step change for the BBC," he said.
"It's a different world: we're more open about what we do. Even if we get it wrong it's good to have the conversation about why."
