Associated New Media (ANM) has launched the websites of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday, three months later than originally planned.

Most content is free, although subscriptions are needed for crosswords and some columns including Lynda Lee-Potter and Peter Hitchens.

ANM is aiming for a readership of around 600,000 within six months. The group is expected to announce the acquisition of more sites this year following its £35m purchase of jobsite.co.uk in March.
