The organisers of Europe's most influential conference for online media - NetMedia 2000 - has attracted around 3300 delegates. Starting this week, the conference is the only European internet event devoted exclusively to examining how the internet and new media technologies are changing journalistic practices.

Event organiser Milverton Wallace said places for the conference were still available last week and full details are available online at NetMedia 2000 .

'The conference brings together leading media practitioners from the US and Europe to share their experience and knowledge of current developments and offers hands-on workshops so journalists can test drive the new technologies,' said Mr Wallace.

This year event highlights include: Andrew DeVigal who is speaking on the Stanford/Poynter Eyetrack study which has 'redefined the rules for presenting news online'; Gerado Seelinger of Quokka on how the Net is changing sports viewing habits; Neil Budde of the New York Times on wireless delivery of news and information, and; Kevin Clark of screamingmedia.com on web syndication.
