Rick Gleave
Trinity Mirror has increased its efforts to break into the mobile market with a new appointment to its interactive division.

Rick Gleave has been named as the new group head of interactive, where he will be responsible for the development, testing and launch of Trinity's mobile offering.

Before joining Trinity, Gleave worked as head of mobile for News Digital Media in Australia - the interactive arm of News Group, which is a division of Rupert Murdoch's News Corp - where he was responsible for introducing mobile programmes across the news.com.au network.

In his new role Gleave will handle Trinity's launch of a range of content services for mobiles, to be provided on a subscription or pay-per-use basis, and look into revenue opportunities in the mobile advertising market.

"Rick brings to the group...the mobile experience essential to our successful entry into the mobile arena. We have the content, we have the expertise and now we have the team to move forward," said Kerry O'Connor, Trinity Mirror interactive services director.
