The final judging panel for the awards, which have been running for 30 years, included BBC radio DJ Colin Murray; Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow; Today presenter Evan Davis; Alan Rusbridger, editor-in-chief of Guardian News & Media; Kwame Kwei-Armah, actor, writer and broadcaster; Jay Rayner, Observer restaurant critic; Jane Bruton, editor-in-chief of Grazia; and BBC Radio 5 Live's Eleanor Oldroyd.
Winners received work experience placements and cash prizes.
