Software firm Adobe has announced a new project with the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) to compile a directory of professional photographers.

The 'Adobe Photographers Directory' will be accessible through the firm's software programs and will help designers recruit professional photographers. The directory will be searchable by location and specialism and will include sample images from each photographer.

"Collaborating with Adobe is a logical initiative for our organisation, as it promotes the good work of our photographers and creates another trusted resource for the creative professional,"said Susan Carr, president of the ASMP.

The ASMP has more than 5,000 international members. Details on membership and application for the Adobe directory can be found on the ASMP website.
