AYR Communications
Augmented Reality developers AYR Communications have announced the release of their 'Sold House Price Data 2010' and FREE 'Average Sold Price Data 2010' Layar property information services for iPhone & Android mobiles.

The new iPhone & Android Layar services take property data searches to a new level, revolutionising the way homebuyers, sellers, estate agents and other property professionals can access sold price data. Using their mobile via a unique virtual reality application called Layar, actual sold price data results are delivered instantly on top of the real world as seen through the camera of the mobile phone.

Using a combination of the mobile phone’s camera, compass and GPS data the Layar app identifies the location and field of view, and overlays recent sold price data from the Land Registry based on the users' geographical coordinates.

With both services users can also switch to 'Google Map' view to access TakeMeThere directions or to 'List View' for even easier overview of multiple properties in the location and even direct access to Street View functionality. Filters can further be applied to base on a wider search radius up to 5km and include property types from Detached, Semi-Detached, Terraced or Flats.

According to AYR Communications, 'Our property data mapping services coupled with the latest in geo-located virtual reality technology provides a unique way for consumers to access Land Registry Data wherever they are. While similar services already provide a search facility on the web, mobile augmented reality applications can provide users with a more data immersive environment wherever they are.'
