Loving Life After Bulimia
Former model turned performance coach Julie Kerr has recently authored a new e-book, Loving Life After Bulimia – A Practical Guide to Reclaiming Yourself and Your Life, which aims to dispel many of the myths surrounding the eating disorder and reveal how recovery is not the impossibility many sufferers believe it to be. The e-book can be downloaded for free at   www.LovingLifeAfterBulimia.com

The e-book was inspired by Julie's own recovery from bulimia and subsequent research in to the disorder, its roots and its effects. As Julie says: 'As my coaching career developed, I naturally became interested in helping others who had experienced the destructive effects of bulimia and other eating disorders.

'But my research revealed far more misunderstandings and misinformation than I ever could have imagined. The most significant was that the symptoms of bulimia are, in fact, identical to the effects of starvation – environmental symptoms rather than symptoms of a disease. Numerous scientific studies on the effects of starvation (including the famous Ancel Keys Study) saw previously healthy men developing all the behavioural characteristics of modern bulimics.

'The implications were staggering. If starvation could affect the behaviour of healthy, stable young men, then what effect could restricted diet have on women who were already insecure about their appearance? But surely this meant that by developing healthy eating habits in conjunction with developing confidence and self-esteem, the mental symptoms of bulimia could be banished for good…

'I soon realised that all women already have the innate gifts they need to conquer bulimia. It’s simply a question of unlocking them…which is what I want to help the readers of my book do.'

Julie’s e-book combines her considerable experience as a coach with hands on practical guidance. Packed with proven techniques and strategies that Julie has personally used herself, the e-book provides a fresh, informative look at bulimia recovery. Anyone experiencing the effects of bulimia, or watching a friend or loved one go through it, should read it as soon as possible.
