The new Fred. Olsen App joins the company’s expanding portfolio of apps tailored to specific cruise lines, which includes Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean International whilst the world’s first Cruise Deals app from Gill’s Cruise Centre has also been reprogrammed for use on Android handsets. To-date, over 8,200 people have downloaded a Gill’s Cruise Centre app – a number which continues to grow, reflecting their enduring popularity.

The Fred. Olsen App – available free of charge – provides comprehensive deck plans for all ships in the fleet, as well as additional information about cruise routes and itineraries to tantalise potential travellers. Once downloaded, all features of the app are also accessible offline, allowing for easy access when cruising the high seas. There is also a live feed which allows users to access the latest news from the cruise line. The App can be used on the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is available today in the App Store.

Gill’s Cruise Centre has also made its Cruise Deals app accessible to customers with Android phones, who can now find out the Top 15 Cruise and Balcony Cruise deals across a broad spectrum of cruise lines. Updated daily, the app also invites users to redeem a £50 discount voucher of any future bookings through Gill’s Cruise Centre. Over 4,000 people have already downloaded the Cruise Deals app to their iPhones and with Android phones increasing in popularity (it is estimated that 1 in 5 phones in the UK have android capabilities) it is hoped that the app will continue to flourish.
