The decision to release the Kindle 4 right before Christmas seems to have been one of the best decisions Amazon could have made, if you believe statistics released this morning by GearZap.com that stated that Kindle accessories outsold any other electronic accessories tenfold in Q4 of 2011. Along with perfect timing, the low price of £89 is being tipped as the decisive factor behind the eReader's success.
This is not forgetting the ongoing success of the Kindle 3, also known as the Kindle Keyboard, which has also contributed to a large number of Amazon's sales this Christmas.
GearZap.com have said those looking for a Kindle
4 case or Kindle
4 cover was the main reason behind such an increase in
sales in Kindle accessories and for the business as a whole, who
celebrated the most successful month of sales ever in December
2011.
The high demand for cases in particular proved that despite the
relatively low price of the Amazon Kindle when compared to other
eReading devices or Internet tables, people are still desperate to
keep their valuables well protected.
GearZap.com are one of the nation's largest online retailers for
electronic accessories, and offer a same day dispatch service if
you order before 6pm.
