Pick your essay and pick your nose! Academic Answers donating to Comic Relief!
According to the Times, Barclay Littlewood, custom essay Tsar and mastermind behind Academic Answers, is wealthier than Leona Lewis and Fernando Torres. And according to his staff, he has too much money sitting around doing nothing.
His company (Academic Answers) is Britain’s largest custom essay empire, which stretches across more than 20 websites. Having once owned a stable of Lamborghinis and Ferraris, he’s now known for spending no more than £200 per week - perhaps one reason why Barclay doesn't just give money to Comic Relief.

Today he pledged to donate money to Comic Relief for every student, academic and lecturer that signs up to the Academic Answers mailing list!

"I know I am seen as a bit of a bad guy by some people. This is a big opportunity for all University lecturers and other detractors of what we do to get their own back and make me pay up for what they say are ill gotten gains."

His 25 staff based in Ravenshead, Nottingham had the brainwave that rather than make a donation, others should decide how much he gives away!

A week after generating turnover approaching £100,000, with millions more expected in the coming weeks, Mr. Littlewood is feeling bullish. “The turnover we’re expecting shows just how useful our custom essays are to today’s students”.

With a glint in his eye, he explained that he enjoyed a challenge. “We’ve worked long and hard to make Academic Answers the pinnacle of the custom essay and model answer industry, and whilst I could just pick a random figure from my head, there’s no fun in just giving money away. The people in the office came up with the idea of letting people decide how much we should pay. I think there are a lot of people that would like to see me pay a lot, so why not do it in the name of charity? The result is me giving away as many pound coins as there are students, academics and lecturers signing up to the email list. It's a fun way to put our differences to one side for a day or two in the name of charity.”

Asked why they’d challenged their boss like this, Quality Assurance officer, Karl Brown, said it was an incentive to everyone. “Barclay actually doesn’t think we’re going to get that many people to sign up to the mailing list. I don’t think he realised we enjoy a challenge just as much as he does, so we’re pushing this with all we’ve got. We want to prove him wrong, and have him hand over a very large check courtesy of Academic Answers. We also want to show the world we're not as bad as they like to think!”

With Academic Answers donating £1 for every person who signs up to their mailing list, Karl was quick to highlight that people don’t need to order: “Just as there’s no obligation to buy until we’ve found a researcher, people don’t have to order from us to get onto the mailing list, and you’ll be able to unsubscribe at any time. Like ordering a custom essay, this is completely risk free, and gives money to those less fortunate than you or us. All it takes is a few seconds."
"You’ve absolutely nothing to lose!” he adds.

Unless you’re the Academic Answers accountant, or Barclay.
To sign up, visit: http://www.ukessays.com/comic.php before Sunday 15th March, Barclay’ll donate to Comic Relief on your behalf.
