PA appoints special correspondent to boost multimedia political coverage
George Jones will join the PA from the Telegraph on October 31, to work on a range of political multimedia packages for the group.
The projects will be targeted at different online audiences, including newspaper websites and internet service providers, and will aim to give viewers a 'behind the scenes' view of UK politics.
Jones, who has also covered politics for The Sunday Times and The Sunday Telegraph, said the PA had been an vital source of news and quotes throughout his career, which began in 1969.
"It [the PA] has been completely reliable, impartial and often first with the news and I am delighted to be joining its Westminster team," he said.
"I look forward to helping reinforce PA's position as a serious and growing player in multimedia and political news reporting."
