Agence France-Presse (AFP) has forged a deal with online video network ClipSyndicate to distribute its video service, AFPTV, virally to thousands of blogs and websites.
AFP will provide the syndication network video content culled from AFPTV's production units around the world - supplying daily video news reports, lifestyle and news features and exclusive interviews.
The video content will be ad-supported with a revenue share model splitting profits between affiliate members and content producers once the site moves beyond the testing stage.
"AFP launched its English language video earlier this year and has had a tremendous response in the market," said Gilles Tarot, marketing & sales director for AFP North America, said in a press release .
"With ClipSyndicate's video syndication network, we are able to find new audiences through sites we wouldn't reach otherwise, through a frictionless, rights-managed, rev-share syndication platform."
