Associated Northcliffe Digital (AND) has launched FindaNewHome.com - the 100th website in its portfolio.
The site, an offshoot of AND's FindaProperty.com , is for trade to advertise houses for sale. It aims to be a hub for new home-hunters and contains both property listings and related editorial.
Its development marks a continuation of AND's diversification of its online portfolio away from just straight news and newspaper affiliated sites - such as its Mail and Thisis tiles - to broaden its reach by adopting sites with a sales or softer editorial strategy.
Last year, chief executive Alan Revell expressed interest in launching a number of "hyper local" community news web sites along the lines of US Backfence sites.
Talking about the new launch, Jon Notley, sales director of FindaNewHome.com, said: "The new site enables property developers, house builders and estate agents advertising new homes to reach consumers in a highly targeted way.
"We have built on the success of FindaProperty.com to set the highest standards for ease of use, search and navigation capabilities, editorial content and forward technical thinking."
