It's been a busy few weeks and Journalism UK is back with another quick update. Some of you may not have been able to respond to the last email I sent out. If you ran into that issue - apologies - we're still figuring things out with our new tools.

In case you missed it: We're officially dropping the ".co." from Journalism.co.uk.

Why? Because it's a mouthful. Over the years, people have been unsure how to say it and we've heard just about every variation. But we also didn't want a massive shift away from our legacy. So we're becoming JournalismUK.

In the last email, we asked for your input on our new logo. Here's the winner:

Call for beta testers: Our new website is nearly ready. We've given this a lot of thought, listened to what challenges you face, and observed how you use our products. We want your honest feedback before we go live, so please let me know if you'd like a sneak peek this week or book a meeting with me.

Clarity on community: We also asked about where you'd like this community to live and what came through is platform fatigue. I hear you, nobody needs more passwords. Some of you suggested LinkedIn - we do have a nearly 4k strong LinkedIn group that has gone a bit cold over the years. Do you want us to start that up again? If so, what would get you involved?

How you can support us:

  • Come and meet us at Newsrewired journalism conference on 26 November in London. The speaker line up is awesome.
  • Share your experiences, challenges, or ideas with fellow community members via a guest piece. These tend to be deeply engaged-with articles. This one by Luba Kassova was our best performer in October (so far).
  • Check out our new media training courses to sharpen your skills.
  • Help us expand our community by forwarding this email to a colleague or peer who’d find it helpful.

Thanks for being part of our community.

Best wishes,
