CNN has launched a new All Access subscription for US audiences, adding live channels, on-demand video, and a large library of original series and films to its digital news offering. This new tier gives subscribers everything from the website and app, plus extra video content and special programming.
Its Basic tier continues to offer unlimited access to articles and subscriber-only written content. All Access includes everything in Basic, plus live streaming and a bigger range of video and documentary content. Basic subscribers will need to upgrade if they want these new features.
All Access subscribers can watch live news, special events, daily catch-up shows, and exclusive series. Cable or satellite package customers (on the Pay TV plan) can stream video content at no extra cost with their TV login, but still need a Basic subscription for unlimited articles.
This move is part of CNN’s plan to bring all its journalism together in one place and offer more ways for people to watch and read the news. More features and content are expected to be added soon.
