Community Care, the specialist magazine and website for the social care profession , has this week launched its new look, hosted on a new platform, as part of group-wide changes at Reed Business Information .
"The new-style homepage offers us far more flexibility in layout and design and means we can change the prominence of different parts of the website far more easily. It also makes the site more user-friendly and gives it a more modern feel," said Clare Jerrom, Community Care web editor.
The latest blog entries, discussion posts, video and podcasts are now more visible on the site's homepage and the vertical navigation menu on the old site has been disposed of in favour of a horizontal version, she explained.
Last month, sister RBI title, Estates Gazette, launched a series of new multimedia content and blogs on its site.
On Community Care, a new learning and development zone, divided into areas for qualified social workers and students, is expected in coming months.
A new look CareSpace discussion forum and a new 'personalisation mini-site' will also be launched in due course.
