The Digger is looking for freelance journalists to produce one in-depth, two-page feature each week.
Fee: £200 for a 750-word feature.
Each article should include:
Every feature must relate to the criminal justice system. We cover policing, courts, sentencing, prisons, probation and justice reform, helping readers understand how the system really works in Scotland.
We're interested in more than headline crime stories. We want the overlooked stories—the people whose experiences reveal how justice is delivered, where it succeeds, where it fails, and how state power affects ordinary lives.
We're particularly interested in exclusive interviews, investigative reporting, compelling case studies and powerful first-hand accounts that challenge assumptions, expose injustice or offer readers a deeper understanding of the criminal justice system.
